Lunch With Beth–Noodles and Company

October 6 is National Noodle Day, and also happened to be Noodles and Company's 20th Anniversary. In honor of the occasion, they held a Lucky Bowl Giveaway, with a peel-off card given with each purchase. Beth and I both won a Free Rice Crispy, to be redeemed on our next visit. Also, there is an online customer satisfaction survey, with a free appetizer code awarded for finishing it.

A staff member noticed me taking pictures, and offered to take one of the two of us. She even managed to get one of me with my eyes open!

The menu is extensive. Way too big to get a picture of it. In addition to the noodles and their optional protein and other add-ons, there is a choice of sandwiches, soup, salads and appetizers. Of course, we chose noodles for our first visit, but we will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Beth chose the Regular Indonesian Peanut Saute.
I had the Penne Rosa, and ordered the Small, so I could get a topping of Oven-Roasted Meatballs. It was still a lot of food, and I couldn't quite finish it, although there wasn't enough left to take with me.

UPDATE:

Monday, January 4 was National Spaghetti Day. In honor of the occasion, Noodles and Company offered us a free bowl of spaghetti with purchase of an entree.  This was the perfect opportunity to sample the sandwich menu but not miss out on some noodles for lunch.

The spaghetti was plain, so we got our protein fix from the sandwiches, which come with a side of either soup or salad. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with salad dressing on the side. That's the vinaigrette on the lower left, and dipping sauce for the sandwich on the upper right.
Beth chose the Wisconsin cheesesteak, also with the tossed green side salad. The salad on the lower left is a dressed salad they made for me by mistake, so our waiter brought it to us, rather than throw it away.
With the gifted spaghetti, this was a very substantial lunch!
